Principal

Lawrence Brunelle, C.Tech., GSC

Lawrence Brunelle is a First Nations construction executive and founder of Brunelle Building Co., a First Nations owned construction management and owner's representative firm certified with the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business.

His career started in the field. Five years as an ironworker on major projects across British Columbia built the foundation that separates BBC from firms that manage construction without ever having built anything. That hands-on experience informs every cost review, every contractor conversation, and every delivery decision BBC makes on behalf of its clients.

From the field, Lawrence moved into senior project management roles across British Columbia and Alberta, leading major commercial, institutional, and retail delivery at scale. His project record includes the Fort McMurray Airport Expansion and Redevelopment ($90M+, winner of Alberta Top Projects 2014) and Guildford Town Centre Phases 1 through 3 ($200M+, LEED Gold, VRCA Award of Excellence).

Since founding BBC in 2017, Lawrence has delivered construction management and owner's representation across occupied retail environments, luxury residential, community housing, and commercial work throughout BC. BBC also provides active construction management support to general contractors with senior leadership requirements on specific assignments.

As a First Nations owned firm, BBC brings particular depth to projects involving Indigenous communities, First Nations developments, and community infrastructure. This includes direct experience delivering housing and community projects in collaboration with BC Housing and First Nations organizations across the Fraser Valley.

Lawrence holds a Gold Seal Certification from the Canadian Construction Association, a Certified Technician designation (C.Tech.) through ASET, and a Building Construction Technology Certificate from BCIT.

Project Operations Manager

Mike Gieselman, PMP

Mike Gieselman leads project operations at Brunelle Building Co., where his job is to protect what matters most to owners: cost, schedule, and the quality of what actually gets built. A systems-and-process operator at his core, Mike builds the standards, controls, and procurement discipline that keep projects predictable — and the reporting that gives clients an honest, real-time picture of project health. His instinct is foresight: planning, sequencing, and resourcing work so issues surface early, while they're still small, instead of compounding into cost and delay by handover.

A PMP-certified, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt operator, Mike designs the repeatable workflows that hold a project together, from procurement and vendor accountability through QA/QC, BC Building Code compliance, and disciplined deficiency tracking to closeout. Owners working with Mike get fewer surprises, less rework, and a clear line of sight into where their project truly stands. Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of the Fraser Valley.

Business Manager

Nadine Brunelle

Nadine Brunelle manages business operations at Brunelle Building Co. She owns the systems that keep the firm running behind the projects: client relationship management, opportunity intake, vendor coordination, accounts payable, and the marketing and brand materials that go out under the BBC name. She is the first point of contact for most clients, and the person who makes sure nothing falls between a conversation and a commitment.

Nadine is also a licensed REALTOR® in British Columbia. That gives BBC something most construction firms do not have in-house: a working understanding of the property side of a project. Market position, land value, buyer expectations, and how a finished building actually performs as an asset. BBC knows how to build. Nadine knows what the market does with it once it is built. On development work, those two views belong in the same room.

Her focus is consistency. Every enquiry logged, every follow-up tracked, every payment and vendor relationship handled on time and without chasing. It is the discipline that lets senior construction leadership stay on projects instead of administration, and it is the reason BBC can hold a standard as the firm grows.

Safety Advisor

Larry Brunelle Sr.

Larry Brunelle Sr. leads safety oversight at Brunelle Building Co., bringing over thirty years as a Construction Safety Officer on commercial, residential, and institutional projects across British Columbia. When BBC is engaged on a project, he is the safety judgment applied to what we see: site conditions reviewed, safety documentation examined against what is actually happening in the field, and issues raised to ownership before they become incidents. He holds a BCCSA Construction Safety Officer certification, Intermediate First Aid, and a Personnel Hoist and Construction Elevator Certificate of Qualification.

He remains an active Construction Safety Officer, currently deployed on a major multi-family residential project in Metro Vancouver. His advice comes from sites he is working on now, under current certification and the same regulatory conditions that advice applies to.

Where a project requires it, BBC can deploy him directly as a Construction Safety Officer under a dedicated engagement. Where it does not, he reviews safety performance independently as part of BBC's oversight, giving owners a read on whether the safety program on their project is functioning or only documented.
